TIP – Using Bluetooth Stereo: There are two music players in the LG Fusic™. There is the “Media Player” accessed by pressing Menu-Media Player-Memory Card and the “Music Player” which is accessed by pressing “Menu-Music” then selecting the “Player” tab. If users wish to listen to their music wirelessly via Bluetooth in stereo, they will need to make sure that their music files are stored in the “Media” folder on the memory card and access it using the “Media Player” option. Songs saved in the memory card’s “Music” folder or played using the “Music Player” unfortunately cannot be played via Bluetooth. Once users have paired their stereo headset with their phone and it is the “connected” Bluetooth device, they will need to select the headset in their “Trusted Devices” list (Menu – Bluetooth – Trusted Devices and then select “Stereo Headset Connect” to activate the stereo functionality. All that is left is to open the media player and choose which song to play!
TIP – Using the FM transmitter: The FM transmitter in the LG Fusic™ allows users to play the music that is stored on their phone, and listen to it over the nearest FM stereo. The Fusic™ allows users to save up 12 favorite stations to be used to play their music. The ideal station to use will be one that does not have anything broadcast on it already and users should look for whichever station has the least “noise” or “hiss”. Once users have saved their favorite station(s) (accessible by pressing Menu – Tools – Music Transmitter), they can select “Options – Music Transmitter” to mute the playback from the phone’s speaker and transmit the playback to the FM channel they selected. Users then just need to tune their FM radio to their selected station to listen to their music. LG recommends a distance of 5 feet or less to minimize interference.
TIP – How to transfer files: After connecting the USB cable to both the phone and your computer’s USB port, press (on the phone) MENU – TOOLS - MASS STORAGE – CONNECT TO PC. The phone will go into a mode similar to Airplane Mode whereas the phone cannot place/receive calls, etc. and will display on the computer as a new drive (similar to how an external hard drive or USB memory key would appear). Users can then drag and drop files to/from the phone/memory card and computer. It should be recommended for this model that customers always save their personal music to the Media folder. When finished transferring files, unplug the USB cable from your computer and the phone will exit from that mode and allow calls, etc.
TIP - Music file compatibilities: The LG Fusic™ is compatible with the following file types for saving and playing your personal music, as long as those songs are unprotected/unlocked**: WAV, MID, MP3, MP4, AAC, and AAC+. The Fusic will also play locked KOZ files that were purchased via Bell Mobility’s Full Track Music service on the phone/line that they were purchased on. If customers delete the song from their phone, they will need to repurchase it to get it back on their handset.
**Protected/locked vs. unprotected/unlocked can be defined as music that was purchased via download versus music that was downloaded/saved at no charge. Locked content contains various restrictions that may allow the song to only be played on a particular device, or only copied to a set number of devices, etc.
